There was a blue one like this for sale on eBay a few months ago.The Chevron marks on the body of this dish were done as a homage to the Natives who were the inhabitants of the Georgian Triangle area of Ontario. The Petun people were part of the Huron confederacy or association. Pieces of their pottery have been found in the areas south of Georgian Bay that was their territory. Blue Mountain Pottery made cream and sugar sets and possibly others with the hash marks to mimic the shards.
Planters and other items...
Blue Mountain Pottery was commissioned in the 70s to make the pottery part of this item...they were known to do things like this for other companies.
